Bauer and IPC- publishers

I have been researching the two leading magazine publishers, IPC and Bauer both of which publish and sell millions of copies every year. Bauer sell 9 magazines every second and 5.7 million copies a week and over 11 million women read a bauer published magazines.

Both publishers retail a variety of differnt magazines, here are a few;
IPC:

• NME


• Look


• Rugby World


• Nuts

Bauer

• Heat


• Kerrang!

• Closer

• FHM


• Preganancy

Both companies also have other media outlets like, radio stations, TV programs and popular websites belonging to their music magazines. If I was to publish my magazine with one out of the two I would go with Bauer as they have more music magazines in their collection so they're more experienced in that area.

introduction to the project

In this main task I will be creating a front cover, editors letter, a double page spreads and a contents page of a music magazine using the skills I gained whilst doing my prelim task. I will also include 4 of more original photos. Like the previous blog I will be frequently updating on my progress and evaluating my work.
